The Two-Story Pool House that makes Home feel like a Vacation

This delightfully fun, two-story pool house was the perfect addition to our client’s large property and existing pool area. The clients envisioned the pool house as a space for gatherings and classic games, with bathrooms for the pool. They also decided to incorporate a wellness area and extra storage into the design. Phase One created the plans, and our sister company, Azalea Building Group, completed the construction.

The pool house is a boomerang-shaped structure, angled towards the pool area while creating privacy from neighboring yards. Outside of the entry, the first thing you notice is the custom pergola creating shade and structure for the elegant courtyard space. Central sliding doors lead into the large living room, which will house games like pinball. To the left, the structure features a full kitchen, with a pass-through window perfect for handing margaritas and lemonade out to guests on the patio.

Behind the large living space and kitchen, there is a door leading to a sauna room and storage space. On the opposite side of the kitchen, the first floor also offers a half-bath and full bath, accommodating short-term and overnight guests. Next to the bathrooms, cubby spaces and hooks give visitors the perfect spot to store their belongings while they swim or game.

Upstairs, the party continues. At the top of the steps, there is a bedroom for guests from out of town. Go a little further, and you will find another large living area which will house the pool table. Built-ins for gaming storage frame the large window overlooking the pool. In the other leg of the upstairs floor plan, there is a room dedicated to video games.

Outside, the homeowner dreamed of turning her landscape into a mini Biltmore Estate. Southern Vista’s brought the homeowner’s vision to life. While they were still working when pictures were taken, we look forward to showcasing their work in the near future.
